History ovens chazal

The chazal house is a family business founded in 1906 in St Rambert by Fleury chazal. My great-grandfather made equipment for the bakery and pastry shop.

In 1954 "Papi Claude" took over at the head of the company and specialised in the construction of traditional masonry wood-fired ovens despite the rise of modern ovens. In order to improve the output and make the use of wood ovens easier, he created the first wood oven with canvas loading and the 2 fireboxe oven.

For 3 generations we have built up an exclusive know-how and build authentic and traditional brick by brick brick masonry ovens for bakeries and pizzerias. We have been using the same construction technique for decades and always take particular care in the finishing of our ovens.
